Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using UsecaseAI ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

UsecaseAI is a platform that enables users to create, share, and discover AI use case stories. The Service uses AI to help generate questions and facilitate storytelling about AI product experiences.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
  • Providing accurate and complete registration information

4. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you create and share on UsecaseAI ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify, display, distribute, and otherwise use your User Content solely to operate, provide, improve, protect, and promote the Service.

We do not currently license User Content to third parties for AI model training, AI research datasets, or similar AI development purposes. If we introduce a third-party data licensing program involving User Content, we will update these Terms and provide notice and choices as required by applicable law before doing so.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of posting it. You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights to your User Content
  • Your content does not violate any third-party rights
  • Your content does not include Sensitive Information or confidential information that you are not authorized to disclose
  • Your content complies with these Terms of Service

Do not submit passwords, API keys, access tokens, private keys, environment variables, financial account numbers, government IDs, health information, or other sensitive or confidential information ("Sensitive Information"). This includes Claude Code session files that may contain credentials, API keys, or sensitive command history. If you choose to include such information, you do so at your own risk and acknowledge it may be visible to others. We may remove or redact content that appears to include Sensitive Information and may suspend or terminate accounts for repeated violations.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

5.1 Pro Subscription

UsecaseAI offers a Pro subscription that provides additional features for product teams, including product verification and story pinning. Pro subscriptions are available on monthly or annual billing cycles.

5.2 Billing and Payment

  • Payment is processed through Stripe, our third-party payment processor
  • You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis
  • All fees are quoted in US dollars unless otherwise stated
  • You are responsible for providing accurate and current payment information

5.3 Auto-Renewal

Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. For annual subscriptions, we will send a renewal reminder email at least 15 days and no more than 45 days before renewal, unless a different notice period is required by law. You can cancel auto-renewal at any time through your account settings or by contacting support@usecaseai.com.

5.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds will be issued for unused portions of the billing period.

5.5 Refunds

Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. However, if you experience technical issues that prevent you from using Pro features, contact support@usecaseai.com to request a review.

5.6 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. For existing subscribers, price changes will take effect at the start of the next billing period following 30 days' notice. Continued use after the price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

5.7 Failed Payments

If a payment fails, we will attempt to process the payment again. After multiple failed attempts, your Pro subscription may be suspended or downgraded until payment is successfully processed.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Violate any intellectual property rights
  • Post Sensitive Information, confidential information, or personal data of others without their consent or a lawful basis
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or User Content, or build competing services using data from UsecaseAI
  • Scrape, spider, or use automated means to access the Service
  • Post spam, malware, or other malicious content
  • Use the Service or any User Content to train, develop, or improve machine learning models, artificial intelligence systems, or similar technologies without our express written permission
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code or underlying algorithms of the Service
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices

7. Content Moderation

We reserve the right to review, monitor, and remove any User Content at our sole discretion, including content that violates these Terms or that we deem harmful to the Service or other users. We use automated systems and human review to moderate content.

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are owned by UsecaseAI and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

12. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL USECASEAI BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice before any new terms take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15. Product Claims and Verification

15.1 Claiming Products

Pro subscribers may claim ownership of AI products featured on UsecaseAI by verifying their association through email domain verification. By claiming a product, you represent that you have the authority to act on behalf of the product's organization.

15.2 Verified Product Owner Rights

Verified product owners may:

  • Pin user stories to their product profile
  • Customize AI interview prompts for their product
  • Respond to user feedback about their product

15.3 Claim Disputes

If you believe a product has been incorrectly claimed, contact support@usecaseai.com with documentation supporting your claim. We reserve the right to revoke verification and transfer product ownership at our discretion.

15.4 Fraudulent Claims

Submitting false information to claim a product you do not represent is a violation of these Terms and may result in immediate account termination.

16. AI-Generated Content

16.1 AI Assistance

UsecaseAI uses artificial intelligence to generate follow-up questions during story interviews. These AI-generated questions are designed to help you tell your story and are not professional, legal, or expert advice.

16.2 Accuracy Disclaimer

AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying any information before relying on it. UsecaseAI does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content.

16.3 Your Responsibility

You are responsible for all content you publish on UsecaseAI, including content created with AI assistance. You should review AI-generated content for accuracy and appropriateness before submitting or publishing.

16.4 Claude Code Session Import

UsecaseAI supports importing Claude Code session files (.jsonl) to share agentic coding workflows. When you use this feature:

  • Session files are parsed locally in your browser — the raw file is never transmitted to our servers
  • Parsed content (messages and tool call summaries) is stored as draft content in our database until you delete it or publish
  • We apply automated, best-effort redaction to common credential patterns (API keys, tokens, passwords) before storage
  • This redaction is not exhaustive and may not catch all sensitive information
  • You are responsible for reviewing session content in the preview before publishing — do not import sessions containing information you would not want publicly disclosed
  • UsecaseAI is not liable for any sensitive information you choose to publish from imported session files

17. Copyright and DMCA

17.1 DMCA Compliance

UsecaseAI respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. We will respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

17.2 Filing a DMCA Notice

If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed, send a notice to our designated agent with:

  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
  • Identification of the infringing material and its location on our Service
  • Your contact information (address, telephone, email)
  • A statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate

17.3 Designated Agent

17.4 Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was wrongly removed, you may submit a counter-notification with your contact information, identification of the removed content, a statement under penalty of perjury that removal was a mistake, and consent to jurisdiction in federal court.

17.5 Repeat Infringers

We will terminate accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers in appropriate circumstances.

18. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless UsecaseAI and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your User Content
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party
  • Any claim that your User Content caused damage to a third party

19. Dispute Resolution

19.1 Informal Resolution

Before filing a claim, you agree to first contact us at support@usecaseai.com to attempt informal resolution. We will attempt to resolve disputes within 30 days.

19.2 Binding Arbitration

If informal resolution fails, any dispute shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration will be conducted in English, and the arbitrator's decision will be final and binding.

19.3 Class Action Waiver

YOU AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. You waive the right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

19.4 Exceptions

Either party may bring claims in small claims court if eligible. Either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights.

20. Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use UsecaseAI. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent's or guardian's permission to use the Service. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately.

21. General Provisions

21.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and UsecaseAI regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements.

21.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

21.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be considered a waiver of those rights. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by UsecaseAI to be effective.

21.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.

21.5 Force Majeure

UsecaseAI shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, acts of government, internet outages, or other force majeure events.

21.6 Notices

We may provide notices to you via email to the address associated with your account or by posting on the Service. You may send notices to us at support@usecaseai.com.

21.7 Survival

The following sections shall survive any termination or expiration of these Terms: User Content (Section 4), Disclaimer of Warranties (Section 11), Limitation of Liability (Section 12), Indemnification (Section 18), Dispute Resolution (Section 19), and General Provisions (Section 21).

22. California Users

Under California Civil Code Section 1789.3, California users of the Service are entitled to the following specific consumer rights notice: The Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs may be contacted in writing at 1625 N.
